The leaked data first went to the transparency group Distributed Denial of Secrets. DDoSecrets, as it’s called, then provided 131 gigabytes of leaked emails and corporate documents to more than 20 news organizations in 18 countries. It asked the news organizations to use the data — called #29Leaks for Formations House’s 29 Harley Street address — to write local and regional stories, but to hold off publishing the stories until at least December 2019.
