Hey guys
Quick heads up: in Brazil, CPF numbers are now treated as sensitive information, similar to SSN in the US. New public datasets are censoring them, and older ones might start disappearing soon.
I was going through some public datasets and ended up compiling a database containing 2 million Base64 photos linked to CPFs.
The raw data was a mess. Photos were PNGs with random filenames, and the CPF details were buried in CVE files. I had to cross-reference and merge everything to actually match the photos to the right CPFs. Without that work, the images and documents wouldn't line up at all.
The database has three columns:
Sample Output (first 10 rows, Base64 truncated):
The photos span multiple election cycles (2006, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020, 2022), allowing for temporal tracking of individuals across years.
Total Records
• 2,035,933 rows
Unique CPFs
• 1,468,080 unique
• Average of 1.39 records per CPF
Key Distribution
• 1,097,806 CPFs appear in only one record.
• 370,326 CPFs are repeated across multiple records.
• Most CPFs are in the database just once. The repeats are broken down below.
Most Frequent CPFs (Top 3)
Breakdown of Repeated CPFs
Just a note: these aren't necessarily politicians. They're mostly people who ran for office—many were never elected and just went back to their normal lives. So it's a mix of some public figures and a lot of regular folks.
The 2024 datasets already have CPFs censored, which is why I put this together now to preserve a source where the info is still linked. I'm currently working to cross-reference these CPFs with the new 2024 censored datasets. This will allow for the association of recent, otherwise anonymized data with the identified individuals in this database, significantly increasing its comprehensiveness and value.
If anyone is interested, feel free to DM me. I'm not selling, but I'm open to swapping for other Brazilian .DBs.
