  We need to BAN all sites like this from being used to load files on here. No browser or antivirus will allow you to download it. If you are stupid enough to ignore your computers protection, you deserve to be hacked & have your computer fucked up.

  You can't even READ the sites own messages by doing a Google search. I can't even open them:

thank you for that thread, i was to let you know the 'biteblob' service provider is a forum member.
however, its has it own ways to make money due the storage it has, nether-less ads/tracking-polociy's/ip-banning/file-erasing its a ToS , you can take it or leave it.

Mozilla considered biteblob a  malware-webiste due some unknown reason to 'ME' never made my home work regarding biteblob.

Never had a problem with the biteblob, myself.  I have done a lot of testing across a lot of file sharing sites, and biteblob never seems to cause me issues.  I have protections on my system. I am sure there are things that get past most file sharing platforms for some period of time, but I don't recommend condemning a file sharing site for what others post on the site.

Over time, I have accessed a lot of links from the site. Some file links on biteblob have been banned and marked as malware, so you can't download them.  From my observations and testing, biteblob is a very legitimate site.  In most tests for upload and download speeds, it beats a lot of other file sharing platforms.

I think they are trying to be somewhat of the "open file sharing platform", but have a need to block certain things when identified.  Malware being one of the issues. 

I use Mega, fileio, biteblob, etc, etc... the list goes on and on.  I do not find any of them to be the kingpin site to use for file sharing, and I would never condemn any of them for trying to provide services to the world by helping to share information.

Do you have any links that support this claim?

On an open file sharing platform it is easy for any user to upload multiple files... one being a file that is an original infection vector, and others that can be additional parts of the payload.  These type of load, install, download next package, etc... kind of behavior would make people think the site, itself is bad, when in fact, it really isn't.

Happy to help explore if you or anyone else have samples.

Interesting post.  I'm fair about all file sharing platforms and what they provide.  Many of the sites on the "recommended list" have plenty of malware engines that identify them as malicious.  BiteBlob had 1 out of 97 engines on VirusTotal that identify it as malicious.

The link you showed in your image is a zip file that unwraps to a text file (completely harmless).  So, I guess whatever browser you are using is identifying it as a malicious site... or your proxy server or some other service.  Which is fine.  I have never had anything from BiteBlob trigger malware detection on my platform.

Thanks for the info, but being that BiteBlob is a legit service that some people have uploaded malware... I don't blame the service for that.  Many file sharing platforms out there.  Many have had malware identified from them.
