I am utterly disgusted by the current state of our electoral system. It seems like the only qualification needed to run for office nowadays is fame—not competence, not a solid educational background, not even a clear and realistic platform for the people. How did we reach a point where popularity outweighs merit, experience, and integrity?
Public office is not a joke. It is a responsibility that requires knowledge, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of governance.
