Well, everyone has grown up a little out of their toxic phase, where they feel the need to grow an online ego. It's nice to have normal conversations here..

Let me explain what’s changed in cybercrime culture. There used to be a community spirit—if one member of a group provoked someone from another, it could spark a “war” between the two communities. Back then, large-scale hack, trolling, or exposure operations were more common. These operations would start in forums, then be organized in IRC channels, and after a few days, they would be launched. For example, in 2011, there was a war between Anonymous and the drug cartel Los Zetas, which Anonymous won. Today, no hacker group would dare to attempt something like that.

Another example is the 17th Crusade operation in 2017 and the counter-operation, Black Bull. I was involved in organizing Black Bull, and to be honest, the whole operation started by pure chance. Or take the famous 31st Celebration of Exposure, where communities gathered inappropriate photos of celebrities and shared them all on the same day, calling it “Masturbation Day.” Back then, the internet was fun; people wanted to make a mark or be known, so they took action. But today’s internet is filled with useless cowards. To give an example from this forum, most members don’t even know how to do a troll attack. If they can’t manage a troll attack, do you think they could handle a real one?
The number of pedophiles was much lower before because communities would expose their identities within hours. But now, communities have lost their influence due to pointless rules and poor management, so that sense of community is gone. Experienced people have become scarce, and those who remain have either gone deeper to avoid getting caught or have fallen silent. Only a few still seek excitement and new adventures, myself included, but alone, we can’t do much. That’s why the internet has become quieter and boring
