We announce the breach and targeting of the database belonging to the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (https://mohesr.gov.iq).
The breach involved extracting the Ministry's databases and exfiltrating all sensitive data, including identity cards for employees, teachers, and students; academic transcripts; student results; phone numbers; email addresses; and other information.
Approximately 4,000 identity cards and 3,500 passports were extracted, along with other Iraqi data assets.
About 20 GB of data was extracted and is now up for sale; the passport and identity card data we require has been listed on our Dark Web platform.
We will provide you with a brief sample from the database.
