Depends on how much you need and how much free time you've got. I usually buy broken computers and repair them. Some people will sell their computers that are just 'slow' where all you need to do is fresh install an OS and it is good to re-sell. 

If you don't have that much time, selling things you own is another easy way - strip your property down to the minimum and just keep what you use in a 1-month time frame.
