I came across this thread while researching the recent developments between ShinyHunters and the FBI in 2026.
Looking back at your May 2024 post, it's fascinating to see that this confrontation has continued for more than two years. It almost feels like a long-running series.

Meanwhile, Japan has enacted legislation introducing Active Cyber Defense, and the Japanese government is beginning to move toward a different approach to cyber threats.
Recently, IDC Frontier, a SoftBank subsidiary operating large-scale cloud infrastructure in Japan, suffered a major ransomware attack.
According to the publicly reported impact, four zones out of approximately fifteen across its cloud infrastructure were affected. The scale and apparent coordination of this attack are particularly striking.
Based on the groups I've observed, I suspect that an operation of this complexity could involve either a state-sponsored actor or a highly capable cybercriminal group such as ShinyHunters.
Of course, this is only my personal hypothesis, not an attribution.
I'd be very interested to hear your thoughts on this incident and the level of capability required to carry it out.
And one more question: back in 2024, did you expect your confrontation with the FBI to continue into 2026?
Greetings from Japan!
P.S. If I get a reply, I'll give you five stars plus a little extra! ★★★★★ + α LOL
