On January 11, a lengthy civil court case based on Trump's fraudulent activities, had come to an end.

Trump was sued back in September of 2022 by Attorney General of NYC Letitia James, alleging that he had deceived insurers and banks by overvaluing his assets and net worth in audits, financial papers and business records.

Ms. James is looking to issue a permanent ban on the former president from ever doing business in NYC, a five year ban on his sons Eric and Donald Jr., and a fine estimating to 370 million dollars.

Judge Engoron has said that he would make concluding statements on the case by the end of the month.

Due to reasons being a civil case, Trump will not be facing any jail time. But that's not true for the four criminal cases pending for him, which he has repeatedly attempted to delay till after the 2024 election is finished. He could be facing over 700 years of prison if he is to be indicted on all counts of each case.

Trump continues to plead not guilty to each criminal case, just as he had refused any wrongdoing in this civil lawsuit, and maintains that all cases are only "election interference".

Dates of the criminal case proceedings have yet to be decided due to the repeated appeals by Trump's legal team to delay them.

all politicians are crooked as fuck. they might start out going into politics because they want to change things for better but they quickly realize that in order to survive as a politician they have to toe the line..... they are going after Trump because he doesn't toe the line.. if he wasn't a narcissistic sociopath I'd probably support him. The problem with him is that he doesn't care about anyone but himself so he's in it for the wrong reason.. also, any poor person that thinks a rich fuck from new york is going to do anything to benefit them is fucking stupid. Trump should have stayed in the reality tv business which is a much better place for narcissists.. anyway, the establishment isn't going after him because he's corrupt (they all are), they are going after him in retaliation for not toeing the line..
