The CDN on the forum is too slow for big files and it can take ages to download anything beyond a gig or two. I know bandwidth can get expensive and high speed access may be exclusive to paying users but the speed shouldn't be so low. The standard transfer speed should be at least 5-10 MB/s. If it's configured to get slow after a certain time then it shouldn't be lower than 3 MB/s. For a 3 GB file, that would take about 17 mins!

When I do download tests, I never go below 15MB/s. Which file are you talking about and what's your setup?

I havent noticed anything from a DDOS but I am not transferring huge files either

I'm using a Synology NAS for this and I tested with two connections, one at 300 Mb/s and the other is a 700 Mb/s and I was downloading the Twitter database. Even now I tried but cancelled the download because of slow transfer.

Use a download manager dont download directly though your btrowser.
