Kaspersky reports that during the GitVenom campaign, attackers create fake GitHub projects that look like clones of popular software or tools. However, these projects contain malicious code that unsuspecting users download and run. The campaign aims to distribute various types of stealer programs that collect sensitive information from infected systems.
