Bashar managed to not get assassinated due to Russia/Iranian etc support. Or he would have shared the destiny of Gaddafi. I am actually sad about Syria, it was a beautiful country as far as I have heard from people who lived there before the war, of course there was corruption but don't forget that before the war around 10% of the population were Christian which speaks a lot about the Arab country now thanks to ISIS and war there are a lot less. Unfortunately after so many years of war, I can't see how they will recover

I remember a video of Gaddafi telling to other arabian leaders to not to put trust to west or the minute you lose your usefullness for them you would get backstabbed. In that video Bashar was laughing at Gaddafi, guess the G was right.
