I seems that the media really hypes it up, as if OT is always under threat and we should always be scared, but then many experts are saying that's a complete bullshit because hacking them is highly difficult and it is more likely to be misconfigured.. What do you guys think?

Sure, I understand what you all are saying. Thing is that I get the sense the OT security companies are throwing in some weird assessments such as "hackers are increasingly targeting OT systems" to increase sales whereas the number of cases of actual targeting of OT is kind of limited. And of course the media joins them too, like they do with AI - all of a sudden every security solution is utilizing AI and so on..

Everything is bullshit mate. From a hacker's point of view, we should I spend so much time and effort to hack OT if I can exploit some bullshit vulnerability they didn't fix since 2017 and get to their organization network. If they are as stupid as these fucking Colonial Pipelines assholes, they'll take their own OT down themselves.
