I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I think if it's still in draft, it shouldn't appear there because it should only be visible to yourself (even if it's just a title).
Some time ago I was confused that in the latest posts menu there was a newly posted thread but it disappeared when clicked, and I just realized that it was because the user chose to save it as a draft.
