The data from the 2.8B breach that was leaked did not include emails, phones, or passwords... it is unknown if the person who obtained the data has other information that has not been shared.

The 200M breach that leaked in 2023 did have emails, which are present in this file (the two files were merged, with just the records in both being included).

In January, 2025 400GB of info on 2,873,410,842 Twitter (X) users was leaked, almost certainly taken by a disgruntled employee while many employees were being laid off. I am posting this because I have seen no sign that X or the general public is aware of the largest social media breach ever (I first tried contacting X via several methods with no response).

Here, I have taken the records from the 200M Twitter breach (which X claims is public data) and appended the data from the 2.8 billion breach. Only records with screennames present in both are included, so there are 201,186,753 total entries.

The 2.8B breach contains a whole bunch of information that was not in the 200M breach, but you are correct that the data from the 2.8B breach that was leaked did not include emails. Whether there are emails (or phones, etc.) is unknown, unless we naively assume that everything was leaked.

I gotta say, Grok was able to do a great job figuring out this new information and did a really good job (not quite an A+ but maybe an A). The humor is simply xAI talking about the potential of confirmation from X, that xAI just bought.

Im pretty sure this 2.8B ''leak'' is just another shitty scrap by API abuse , as usual , not stolen by an employee. The "whole bunch of information" is useless except maybe the ID.
At least it will be useful for some spammer by targeting people using their bio
but i wont call that ''by far the most significant social media breach'' like you did (most of it is public data). The 2022 Twitter leak (which was also API abuse btw) and the Facebook one are much more interesting/significant lol
