i think HTB staff should start thinking about another model of challenge flag submission. Like they did it with machines' ssh keys & user/root flags.
Challenge which is requiring online communication/interaction (like PWN, Web & so on) should produce unique flag for each user (per instance spawn).
This will stop cheaters & flag exchanges. For offline only it's kind of difficult to implement... but doable as well.


I may propose challenge flag generation based on certain words for this or that particular challenge (like with crypto wallet seed phrases) being mangled with digits. Not hard to implement on python or ruby.
This should prevent all of this shit.

im perfectly fine with people coming here to trade solutions/writeups cause then learning/improvement is involved

but these fucking assholes who just spam flags to omni and then try to pretend theyre worth a shit

Trading/exchanging solutions is fine with me as well. Trading or exchanging just a flags isn't well...

And this is why HTB staff should be thinking about this flag generation model. to prevent any sort or total scambags.
This will be necessary to actually solve this chall & flag is just a 'proof of work'.
