Man, France wanting to straight-up ban social media for anyone under 15 is kinda wild tbh. On one hand, I get it, kids are getting wrecked by doomscrolling, cyberbullying, fake shit everywhere, etc. Less screen time, more hanging out IRL? Sounds healthy. But come on… how are they even gonna check ages without turning into a privacy nightmare? And what about when the whole family uses TikTok to learn stuff or whatever? Feels like it might just push kids to sneakier apps nobody’s watching. Idk, I think the idea’s coming from a good place, but it’s giving big “we know what’s best for you” energy. Maybe strong parental controls + actually teaching kids how to use the internet instead of just banning it would be smarter. Still, props to France for at least trying something. Could start a real conversation worldwide. What y’all think?
