It would be great for them as an joint cartel, if you factor in the communication and intelligence they would be able to share to each other about when and how the L.E operations are going and what's the next step and so on.

Currently the flow of intel flowing through each ransomware group isn't much strong due to the separation. Imagine 3-5 groups joint into a singular one, the amount of information and help each could receive is unfathomable.

Information and knowledge is the key to staying safe and keeping up-to date with what's happening.
I feel like this will be the best choice for them.

Why would Lockbit want to partner with BlackCat after the feds openly stated that there was a mole within that group? Also saw some posts saying that BlackCat servers are probably honeypots now...

IMO anyone that chooses to work with BlackCat after all the shit that has gone down is asking to be dragged down with them...
