Google is accused of tracking in incognito mode.

The three plaintiffs allege that Google's web analytics tools continue to track user activity on the web, even after enabling incognito mode in Chrome, Private Browsing in Safari, or similar features in other browsers.

The fact is that the sites visited in private mode do not stop collecting data about users. Including the services of the “corporation of good” itself, for example, the search engine and the analytical tool Google Analytics, were lit up. Using the collected information, the IT giant fine-tunes ads and earns more money.

The complainants allege that Google keeps logs of user visits and private visits in one place. And even if the information is collected anonymously, the company's algorithms are able to identify a person with high accuracy.

On August 7, 2023, a California judge denied Google's request for a summary judgment in the lawsuit. This means that the company will not be able to avoid legal proceedings.

Someone is surprised? Anyways most of the people used incognito mode so they could surf pornsites without cleaning the browser history, not because of safety.

Obviously they do, because it was in black with a nice logo, people actually believed Google was not keeping track of what was happening on incognito mode?
