i dont think this "checking if an image is AI" will really work as AI evolves. the reality is that you can no longer trust anything on the internet and you kinda have to deal with it

This is true. I believe the information age is coming to an end, now that we're able to imagine anything into reality. I think it'll be a cat-and-mouse game of ever-evolving ML models designed specifically to detect other ML-generated content. Stuff that we as humans would never be able to discern on our own.

I would like to know what they are doing as well... I understand how one can determine if a photo has been doctored but looking at all of the pixels but don't get a totally generated image.
