From my experience you start earning 1 point per post after your tenth post. But posts in the introduction channel, world news channel and music and video channel don't count towards earning points as far as I know. So as long as you interact with the discussions here you'll start earning points eventually. Just make sure you actually engage with the discussions instead of just spamming posts!

Better than when it was purchase-only. I'm fine with eventually getting 8 points for the one thing I want if it's just posting that does it.

Earn credits by replying. You can buy them if I remember right
