Why jailbreaking iOS is almost never a good idea

iOS security is based on sandboxing, code signing, and system integrity.
Jailbreaking disables these core protections, giving apps and tweaks root access to the system.
[HEADING=2]Main risks[/HEADING]
- Breaks the iOS security model (no sandbox, no verified code)
- Higher malware and spyware risk
- No official iOS updates or delayed patches
- System instability, crashes, bootloops
- Unsafe for banking, passwords, 2FA, Apple Pay

[HEADING=2]Privacy paradox[/HEADING]
While jailbreaking gives more control, it often reduces privacy, since many tweaks come from unverified sources with full system access.
[HEADING=2][/HEADING]
[HEADING=2]Conclusion[/HEADING]
Unlike Android or Windows modding, iOS was never designed to be modified.
Jailbreaking turns a secure, closed system into an untrusted environment, making it a bad choice outside of research or exploit development.
