at this point it doesn’t even feel controversial to say it.. instagram tracks everything — what you watch, how long you pause, what you almost click, who you stalk, when you close the app.. even stuff you don’t interact with directly..

people still think “i didn’t allow mic or camera so i’m safe” lol no.. metadata alone is enough to build a scary accurate profile.. interests, mood, routine, spending habits,, it’s all there..

the wild part is how predictive it’s gotten.. ads showing up for things you only thought about or discussed once.. not magic, not mic conspiracy,, just insane pattern matching and data correlation..

and since it’s tied to meta’s ecosystem,, instagram data doesn’t live alone.. it feeds facebook, whatsapp, third-party trackers, ad brokers.. once it’s collected, good luck pulling it back..

most users trade privacy for dopamine without thinking twice.. reels, likes, validation,, cheap exchange for long-term profiling..

not saying “delete it now”,, just saying be aware.. treat instagram like a public space where nothing you do is private.. because it isn’t..
