attack on titan is nice to start out. whenever someone wants to get into anime its the first one i recommend. next to aot i also recommend one punch man, but that anime isnt as serious so the stakes dont feel that high during season 1. attack on titan is real good from beginning to end though

AoT is good, but i falls into the cliche of harem and OP main character. I liked the first part of AoT 1, but the second part, and the second season were basically the same. It may be a good start, but I would recommend FMA instead.

Is this satire? No way you just said it falls into the cliche of harem and OP main character when Eren is dying every other episode.

WTF? AoT has nothing to do with harem anime. And the main character isn't really OP either, considering he had to be saved quite often. There are a lot of characters which were more powerful than Erren. 
I'd recommend watching AoT.

Yeah i would definitely say so, Attack on titan and death note are the animes i always recommend to someone who wants to get into anime
