Nope, Tor has been compromised not once but many times. FBI did it, Dutch Police did it and it's not reliable for 100% opsec. Tor + VPN makes the best combo.

The problem is that almost every VPN company have the 'no-logs policy', but then some of them get hacked and that wasn't exactly true. is this different?

At the moment, really, until now, i've been using proton vpn. I've never heard anything bad about proton, but i have to say that your research is amazing, besides it is cheaper: i'm paying 10$ in proton and yours it's 5$! I have to say it again, big g man. Thanks.

NordVPN is owned by Nord Security, which is based in Lithuania, so since it is in the EU, I would expect some decency and privacy from them. Surfshark merged with Nord Security in 2022, so using Surfshark or NordVPN does not make any difference. HOWEVER, the VPN I use has a proven track record of not keeping logs; therefore, there is no sharing of logs and no affiliate marketing. They were recently raided by Swedish police (since they are based in Sweden), who went back to their bunkers empty-handed because there was nothing to share.
