The only way to truly understand and practice Islam is to take the Qur'an as the sole guide, steering clear of human interpretations. The Qur'an explicitly declares that it is the ultimate source of law (canon) and leaves no need for any other discourse.
Divine Signs Regarding the Sufficiency of the RevelationNumerous verses explicitly warn humanity against additions made to religion under the name of "hadith" (sayings/narrations) outside of the Qur'an:
