The user "@danbao" has been officially sold on fragment for 2.2 million dollars (equivalent to 1,583,948 TON ) surpassing the record of the user "@devil" (555k in ton equivalent to 1.25 million usd).
Its crazy how this user originally was sold iirc for 80k ton (equivalent to 112K usd) in 2023 .
The word "danbao" means to guarantee or guarantor or also an escrow or a middleman.

I'll never understand why people are paying so much money for these Telegram usernames and how this whole thing blew up like this.

In my opinion , it's similar to the NFT outbreak we had in twitter some years ago , people buy these users to seem "rich" and "cool" , not saying i don't like it ofc . I'm 100% sure this is a business buying the user and i am probably sure the owner will use it for middleman services , but hey who knows?.

Telegram has expanded its reach to a very wide range of perspectives in the last year and a half. There's something to this. I think Pavel Guy, the owner of Telegram, will be the new Elon Musk of the next 10 years.
