In September, experts recorded attacks on Russian companies using the new Unicorn Trojan. The attacks targeted energy companies, factories, suppliers and developers of electronic components.

The malware is distributed via email, using attachments or links to files on Yandex.Disk. Once launched, the Trojan creates two scripts that copy and send data to the attackers.

The peculiarity of Unicorn is that it does not delete itself after the initial data theft, but continues to steal new and modified files. This increases the scale of potential losses for the attacked companies.
