I want to properly learn electrical engineering and PCB layout since I started to play around with microcontroller and Raspi stuff. I hate my shift job and I think it would just be plain cool to look at something and say "oh look, I engineered this!"

Sounds like you are close to finishing college. Makie sure you do. If you fall a little bit short at the end of the year, go back and finish it. Very important especially if you are that close. It will make life easier with that degree.

I think it would be better to study electronics since electrics is more focused on high and medium voltage , with electronics knowledge you can design your own hacking tools or create your own robots, it would be great !!! .
