Witcher 3 didn't come out until 2015, though. 2013 was still a great year. Statistically, 2004 was the best year in terms of review scores.

For me, 2013 is a peak year that still influences gaming today.

From my point of view, for 2013, I would have picked Crysis 3, which is insane both graphically and in terms of gameplay, Resident Evil Revelations (released on PC in 2013), which brought back interest in the franchise after two bad games (Resident Evil 5 & 6) and Outlast, for its psychological aspect : no weapons, just you and your camera.

And for 2015 The Witcher 3, which was a massive visual slap, offering hundreds of hours of content, with DLCs that add real value, something many games fail to do, even with DLCs that often end up being disappointing.

Honestly, this new version of Tomb Raider was visually impressive, but also solid in terms of gameplay and environmental exploration.
And The Last of Us, a true masterpiece. I can’t wait to start Part II, which I hope will be even more engaging story-wise.
