I love accidental drunk competition stories!
Okay it is an impressive drunk feat, I will give the girl mad respect for that buuuuuut:

Duncan Hamilton won LeMans in 1953 absolutely fucking plastered which seems like the pinnacle of Drunken wins? 
Bird hits this dude in the face doing  130 down a straight, and he probably never felt it.

Those snobby French DQ'd him so he went into town to get smashed. His team managed to get him back in the race, but by then they were and tossing his semi-comatose body in front of the wheel, hoping for the best.....
He comes in the first pitstop in the lead, so his team starts feeding him coffee to sober him up.
He comes in the pit a second time yelling, "The coffee is giving me the jitters", so his team topped him off on brandy every time the car came into the pit for some guzzolene.


That win marked a significant Victory for Jaguar as an automaker.
Now it looks like Jaguar is going to get turned into a cheap Indian owned electric car manufacturer.
(EV's are like washing machines, you just strap an electric motor and battery to a cheap aluminum frame, and it is why China embraced them, not for any green initiative BS)

Yeaaaa I think my dislike of EV's kinda crept in there.....

The racing brought to mind Hybrids which are blazing fast, and now doing cool things like charging the batteries with the exhaust heat

I just wish we rolled out Renewable energies for homes before EV's took flight.


I'm sure people will love their environmentally friendly car that drains fossil fuels to charge

I'm sure people will love their environmentally friendly car that drains fossil fuels to charge

I could not agree more about the Renewable energy for homes deal.  The power station down the street from me has 4 natural gas turbines and 2 oil turbines: that is the source of the problem.
You got an EV or Hydrogen-electric it will still need that at the end of the day.

With the cars I think we are at an interesting point where multiple fuel types exist, like hydrogen-electric could take off, maybe hydrogen ICE, but we still need renewables at home for that to work out.

Totally agree mate. Thing is, Energy companies are profit driven, and there's no profit in renewables, it's only a loss, which is why a Government push would work, as thats about as utilitarian as you can get, but right now people think they're saving the planet with their overpriced ElonCar.

We're all convinced we're doing good, when really we're just jumping to the free markets demands
