more complex captchas, limit what new accounts can see/do, restrict email providers that users can use to register.
i bet that all thoose accounts are on gmail, outlook/hotmail or proton

Agreed, due to all the spam and bots this forum gives LQ vibes. Which is why I was weary about your recent post to implement new features to make the forum safer for transactions. It's like putting a gold armour on a turd. This forum serves a good purpose regarding the management and storage of data breaches, creating a safe platform for actors to publicise their breaches in an attempt to reach a negotiation after an unsolicited penetration test and lastly aids in the deanonimisation of users who use the same password across multiple services thus making the data a form of osint that can be used for password cross referencing (having the same unique password across multiple platforms that have been breached can be used to de-anonimise)... Infact maybe that last point will be the topic of my first thread. Is BreachForums good, bad, or simply just being itself?

ahhh welcome to the digital underbelly where the leeches roam free and the bots are always lurking it’s like a never-ending game of whack-a-mole but let me tell you something those cti companies are just the tip of the iceberg you’ve got a whole ecosystem of parasites out here just waiting to suck the life outta genuine content

i get your frustration with the bots and the copy-pasta nonsense like can we get some originality for once but mods are often stuck in their own little bubble sometimes it takes more than just a ban hammer to deal with this infestation they need to get proactive instead of just reactive you know what i mean

the best bet is to keep calling it out and rallying the troops maybe even suggest some stricter vetting for new accounts or a reporting system that actually works because trust me those bots might seem harmless but they’re like cockroaches you squash one and three more pop up in its place it’s a mess and it’s hurting the vibe of the whole forum so keep shining a light on it and hopefully someone up top will finally wake up and do something about it
