i think its like they leak it and it dosent get uploaded from the artist or the studio yet but from a leaker and until it gets released officially all of the money will get earned by the leaker on yt soundcloud spotify etc and by the time it gets officially released people might have wore the song off so it wont be as good when it officially get released

It's always people on the inside doing the nasty work, even big tech companies suffers from leaks like this.

Look at nothing(2a) phone leak, it was unexpected from a small company. Though it happened.

Ok that makes sense. I'd guess that a significant chunk of the money a song makes is shortly after it releases (like movies), so having the release stolen would suck.
