There's a very simple test here. Name the country where you would want to live if you could live anywhere in the world. If that country is anywhere in what we call "The West" your interests lie with Israel. If that country is Iran, Syria, or a poor country in Africa then you should support the Palestinians. If that country is Jordan, Egypt, or one of the Gulf States then you should say you support the Palestinians while really supporting Israel as long as that means you don't have to deal with the Palestinians yourselves. If that country is Russia or China or one of their allies then your support should be shamelessly opportunistic based on your current interests.

I am against all kinds of war. Innocent people are dying for ridiculous reasons because of the big rulers. It was Hamas that ignited the war, but considering the oppression that has been going on in Israel for years.
