I'll second the python comments but mainly because I'm most familiar with python. I'll add that if you are working with large tables try to use something like pandas library to load and look through the data. it is very fast. and like someone else said, gpt that you want to use pandas and python to work on a large data set. I've used it for files about 5gb but i'm sure it can handle more. feel free to ask if you get stuck somewhere.

I use Linux for my OS, and I use grep with a regular expression (RE) . Sometimes, I use a python script or a perl script (yes, I am old) if I need to massage the data prior to searching it.
